ASTRAIOS Newsletter #4 is Here — Discover the Latest Milestones in Europe’s Space Skills and Education!

We’re thrilled to share the latest edition of the ASTRAIOS Newsletter, showcasing our momentum as we enter the final phase of this groundbreaking project.

Over the past months, ASTRAIOS has made remarkable strides in supporting Europe’s ambition to build a strong, skilled, and future-ready space workforce. Here’s what you’ll find in our new issue:

  • New Reports & Data for Europe’s Space Sector: Fresh insights are now available! Key deliverables like the Workforce Demand Evolution and Distribution report and the Analysis of Geographical Gaps & Student Mobility provide an up-to-date snapshot of skills trends and talent challenges.

  • A European Space Bootcamp That Inspires: Hosted by the International Space University, the first ASTRAIOS Space Bootcamp gathered students, researchers, and early-career professionals from across Europe. This unique training focused on essential leadership and collaboration skills to empower the next generation of space leaders.

  • Learning Without Borders — MOOCs, Webinars & Info Sessions: We’re finalising an exciting lineup of online learning resources, including Massive Open Online Courses for Copernicus and Galileo users, soft skills training, and GNSS applications. Our Knowledge Hub webinars and student Info Sessions are already helping thousands discover new pathways into the space sector.

  • Driving Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Best Practices for Space: Our final ESG Peer-to-Peer Learning Workshop brought together experts and companies to share their journeys in environmental, social, and governance practices. The lessons learned will be captured in our upcoming ESG Best Practices Book, providing a lasting roadmap for sustainability in space.

  • A Growing Presence at Major Events: ASTRAIOS has actively shared its mission and results at leading conferences — from Space-Comm Expo and IGNITE SPACE, to EUCASS 2025 and the IAC in Sydney. Our team is also preparing for the EASN Conference in Madrid this October, where our final MOOCs and findings will be launched and communicated via a dedicated session.

As we move into these final months, ASTRAIOS continues to inspire Europe’s students, entrepreneurs, and professionals to look to the stars — and build the skills they need to get there.
